Recruitment, Announcements

For the fourth year running, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have been announced as one of the supporters of National Apprenticeship Week, taking place from 9th – 15th February 2026.

The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator will once again be showing their support for the 19th annual National Apprenticeship Week by hosting an exciting week of activities. This will include an apprentice teambuilding activity with Macmillan, one of the companies’ charity partners, to raise vital funds.

Promoting their array of apprenticeship opportunities, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will also be attending the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair on Wednesday 11th February, as well as encouraging apprentices to return to their schools and colleges to deliver inspirational career talks.

Perfectly aligning them to the National Apprenticeship Week 2026, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays proudly host a nationwide apprenticeship programme which is constantly expanding as the business continues to grow. Fostering future talent within the business, the companies’ apprenticeship opportunities range from entry roles to supporting existing colleagues to progress.

When completing an apprenticeship with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, apprentices have the opportunity to gain practical work experience, key professional skills and industry recognised qualifications whilst earning a salary. Currently, the companies employ over 200 apprentices ranging from Levels 2-7, all of which are working towards their respective qualifications with a view to progressing into permanent roles or to support their career development within the company.

In October last year, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays celebrated 76 successful apprentices in their biggest ever annual graduation ceremony. After graduating from the companies’ apprenticeship scheme, many apprentices have now secured permanent positions at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays as well as internal apprentices achieving promotions through their apprenticeship qualifications.

National Apprenticeship Week is celebrated annually and aims to raise awareness of the positive impact that apprenticeship schemes have on individuals, organisations and the wider economy. With a variety of apprenticeship opportunities available for all ages and levels, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays advocate the “Skills for Life” theme for 2026 by encouraging a diverse working culture in which apprentices from a range of educational and career backgrounds can thrive.

Miriam D’souli, HR Director at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are thrilled to be part of the National Apprenticeship Week 2026 Supporters Club and to be championing this important celebration for the fourth year running. As an award-winning company, apprentices are not only integral to our own continued success, but we are also very proud to be helping companies within our communities recruit their own apprentices through our levy share scheme too. We have plenty of exciting activities planned throughout the week, including a teambuilding day with our charity partner, Macmillan, to raise vital funds and provide business support, as well as attending the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair. As we continue to welcome more apprentices and support existing colleagues through our apprenticeship programme, we are very excited to see what the next generation of apprentices will achieve.”
