Late Season Snow in St Moritz

The lack of snow in some areas of the Alps hasn’t helped this season’s success but St Moritz is one place that doesn’t seem to have been affected. The snowfall here has been good and consistent and as the season begins to draw to a close the conditions are just as good.

Many people consider cheap flights to Geneva for St Moritz because of its glitzy image and excellent après ski scene. However, the skiing is looking pretty good at the moment.

“Fresh Falls of Snow”

A recent snowfall has interrupted the sunshine at the resort and this could make conditions ideal even in April. Nick Trend, writing for the Telegraph travel section commented on these conditions favourably. He said:

“A month of almost continuous sunshine was broken only this week by fresh falls of snow. In fact, the snow base is so good that the season looks set to last until at least the end of April.”

This snowfall will make conditions excellent but anyone looking for the whole package on a skiing break can of course make the most of the excellent shopping and pristine image of the resort.

Cheap flights to Geneva are still on sale with for anyone wanting to enjoy some late season snow.
