With the first ski flights of the season jetting off from Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, East Midlands, Belfast and Edinburgh this week the airline has today launched a new ski and snowboarding website to help holidaymakers better plan their trip.

New jet2ski site

With direct flights from to Chambery, Geneva and Salzburg, the world's best slopes are just a short journey away for ski and snowboard lovers. has added seven new ski routes for this winter:

  • Belfast, East Midlands, Edinburgh and Newcastle to Geneva
  • East Midlands to Chambery
  • Edinburgh and Manchester to Salzburg

The new microsite will help ski and snowboarders research every element of their trip. Information will include detailed resort information such as slope difficulty, downloadable piste maps and drive times from the airport, as well as weather reports and even live ‘snow cams' so conditions can be viewed in real time.

The site will also include the ability to search by type of resort in a ‘Best For...' section, to help holidaymakers find the right location for them. So whether people are beginners, looking for a family friendly resort, needing late season snow, wanting a weekend break on the slopes, or want to find the best après ski, the search facility will be able to recommend the best resort to meet their needs.

Philip Meeson, boss of, said: "Although the weather in the UK may well have seen people reaching for their skis or snowboards recently, it's not quite the same as heading to the breathtaking ski areas of the Alps!

"'s friendly flight times are carefully scheduled to get passengers to the slopes and out on the snow the day they arrive, this year we're providing even more weekend and peak holiday period flights to cater to demand.

"With a generous 22kg baggage allowance as standard, there is plenty of room for bulky ski gear. And as with all flights, customers don't need to scramble for a seat as they are pre-allocated - we want to make sure any racing is done on the piste and not to get on the aircraft!

"We are delighted that our first winter sports customers for this season are now on the slopes, and for anyone lucky enough to be heading out to the Alps for Christmas or New Year, I'm pleased to say the weather forecast is looking good with more snow due at the end of next week and plenty of sunshine. If travellers log on to our new website, it will help keep them updated on the conditions, as well as making planning a trip easier and more enjoyable."

Whichever your perfect resort may be, flights to all three ski destinations are now on sale with fares starting from just £14.99 one way including taxes. Chambery is the gateway to some of the most superb winter holiday resorts in France including Tignes, Val d'Isere and Meribel. Geneva is the perfect location for access to some of the best resorts in the Swiss and French Alps including Morzine – Avoriaz, Chamonix, Verbier and Italian Courmayeur, at the base of the breathtaking Mont Blanc. Salzburg is ideal for the snow-capped peaks of Austria, with 130 resorts within a three-hour drive or using the convenient rail network.
