Iceland programme is now on sale for Winter 2021 22

We have today announced a new programme of scheduled services and once-in-a-lifetime trips to Iceland on sale today for Winter 21/22. 

Customers have the choice of scheduled services from Manchester and Birmingham Airports with, as well as 37 three or four-night trips with Jet2CityBreaks, operating from seven of our other UK bases (Belfast International, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and London Stansted Airports).

Flights from Manchester and Birmingham Airports are perfectly timed for those wanting to experience the spectacular Northern Lights, with twice-weekly services operating from 30th September - 22nd November 2021, and 10th February - 25th April 2022. As well as giving people more chances to see this incredible event and experience the best of Iceland, it offers great choice and flexibility with stays of three-nights or more available over the February half-term, October half-term and Easter.  

The programme also includes 37 dedicated three or four-night trips to the Nordic island from Belfast International, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and London Stansted Airports. With 15 trips taking place between September and November 2021, and a further 22 trips between February and April 2022, customers are spoiled for choice when it comes to visiting this fascinating destination.  

Whether it is the cityscape of Reykjavik, the spectacular Northern Lights, or the stunning Golden Circle and its geothermal lagoons, spas and waterfalls, Iceland offers an incredible variety of things for customers to experience and see.  

Customers can pick from flight-only or package holiday options, with package options with Jet2CityBreaks available for a low £60 per person deposit. Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include a guided Northern Lights Tour, flights with including 22kg hold luggage, transfers to and from the airport, as well as a choice of 3 and 4-star hotels in central Reykjavik which provide the perfect base from which to explore and experience authentic Icelandic cuisine. In addition, excursions to the Golden CircleBlue Lagoon and South Shore are also available to purchase. 

All flights to Keflavík International Airport near Reykjavik will be operated by award-winning, and the full programme is as follows: 

  • Scheduled services operating twice-weekly from Manchester and Birmingham Airports between September and November, and from February to April. 
  • 37 trips to Iceland and the Northern Lights, including 15 trips in September through to November and 22 trips from February to April. 
  • Belfast International – two trips in total, including one in September and one in April.  
  • Birmingham  scheduled services operating every Monday and Thursday from 30th September - 22nd November 2021, and 10th February – 25th April 2022. 
  • Edinburgh – two trips available, including one in October and one in April. 
  • East Midlands – five dedicated trips in total, including one in October, one in November and three in March. 
  • Glasgow – five trips in total, including two in October, two in February and one in March. 
  • Leeds Bradford – eight trips in total, including one in October, two in November, two in February, one in March and two in April. 
  • Manchester – scheduled services operating every Monday and Thursday from 30th September – 22nd November 2021, and 10th February – 25th April 2022. 
  • Newcastle – ten trips in total, including two in October, two in November, three in February, one in March and two in April.  
  • London Stansted – five dedicated trips in total, including one in October, one in November and three in March. 

This announcement comes just one week after we launched flights and holidays from Bristol Airport, our tenth UK base. The launch of a new UK base for Summer 21, followed by this Iceland announcement, demonstrates our confidence and underlines our long-term strategy to become the UK’s leading leisure travel business.

This VIP customer service includes friendly flight times and a generous 22kg baggage allowance through a flight-only booking with, which saw us win five accolades at the 2020 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice® Awards for Airlines.  

We have continued this customer-first strategy throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, winning praise from customers, consumer organisations, media, and independent travel agents for how we have looked after customers affected by programme changes. This includes ranking as the number one travel firm for providing refunds, according to a travel refund cancellation survey of more than 77,000 people by (MSE). In addition, was recognised as the only UK airline to promptly provide refunds without significant backlogs, following a review by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
