Three lucky competition winners joined us on the trip of a lifetime to Seattle this week, where we took formal delivery of the last of our 34 brand new Next Generation 737-800 aircraft from Boeing – taking the number of aircraft in our fleet to 100.

Max Jones, 18, from Cheshire; Amy Anderson, 29, from Edinburgh; and Tyler Adams, 19, from Bishop Auckland, were chosen from over 2,000 video entries on our social media channels, after we challenged customers to explain why they deserved to win a place on the incredible four-night to Seattle.

Max, who is currently training to be a pilot in his spare time, used his entry to explain how he dreamt of working for, the UK’s third largest airline. He was accompanied on the trip by his brother Nick Hayes.

Amy’s entry saw her put together a montage of all the destinations she and her partner Gareth Brown had travelled to with us, including New York, Rome and Berlin. Gareth also accompanied Amy on the Seattle voyage

Budding pilot Tyler took on his own version of Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand to explain why he loved us so much. In the footage, Tyler kitted his bedroom out in the red and white colours, explaining he would only ever fly with us. Tyler’s twin brother Declan accompanied him on the trip.

We were extremely impressed with all the entries, however these three really stood out for their flair and passion!

The brand new aircraft, which seats 189 passengers, was handed over to and Jet2holidays at a ceremony at Boeing’s Seattle Delivery Centre in the United States, and Max, Nick, Amy, Gareth, Tyler and Declan were all present. The aircraft flew to the UK this week, where it will now be fitted with special finishing touches, including bespoke seating, before coming into operation in the next few weeks.
