Fowler Welch Expands Its Relationship with Natures Way Foods

Temperature controlled supply chain specialist Fowler Welch, has extended its relationship with fresh produce manufacturer Natures Way Foods.

Fowler Welch are now supporting Natures Way Foods with fresh bagged salads, food to go and prepared food amongst other products from their Chichester operation into Sainsbury’s retail distribution centres. It extends Fowler Welch’s existing relationship with Natures Way Foods by around 20,000 pallets per year.

Fowler Welch has been involved in creating and delivering the most efficient supply chain solutions with Natures Way Foods for many years. The specialist team from Fowler Welch at their nearest depot in Hilsea are able to provide flexible and local support including dedicated vehicles from start up.

Marcus Drury, General Manager at Fowler Welch, Hilsea said: “Our existing relationship with Natures Way Foods meant that when they saw extra growth coming from a major retailer, they came to us to help them ensure that the supply chain remain efficient with the increased volumes.”

James Picton-Jones, Planning Manager at Nature’s Way Foods, said “Over many years we have built a strong relationship with Fowler Welch They are always available at very short notice offering effective solutions for our challenges. A recent example is their ability to find 250 pallet spaces to hold, handle then re-deliver produce back to us on a “just in time” basis, adding more value to our supply chain. All within 1 week’s notice, that’s the kind of supplier we need involved in our business.”
